TID BITS

the little bit of rain has encouraged many of the coffee trees to bloom pretty little white flowers.
I picked some on my walk home and stuck them in my journal.

found a new Hunter quote I quite like, it goes a lil somthin like this:

"Walk Tall
 Kick Ass
 Learn to speak Arabic
 Love Music and
Never forget that you come from a long line of
 truth seekers, lovers and warriors"

last night I visited D.C. in my dreams. I woke up happy.
knowing there will be a home there for me next year
but also very much enjoying my current adventure.
My soul is being fed each day with
new. rough. annoying. surprising. funny. confusing. jaw dropping moments.

discovering where my boundaries are
then pushing them around a bit.

I am living.

say hello wave goodbye

pre-river party pic at Hotel Perkin Lenca
Goodbye party for Emily our dear dear peace corps amiga who is also a DU alumni. :) So naturally we were fast friends. She completes her 2 year service this week. She is heading back to the states next week. I'm not too sad. She will most likely be in the DC area (if she lands a job in the states and not abroad) But alas this life is full of saludos and despedidas... gives it sabor. I love my gypsy life because its full of lovely people and celebrations such as those pictured above and below. And with hellos and goodbyes...comes big hugs y mucho amor y sometimes some cervezitas on the rio.

the story HERE

50 Aniversario de Cuerpos de Paz

Since 1961, over 200,000 Americans have served as Peace Corps Volunteers in 139 host countries.
In our 50th year, over 8,600 Americans, ranging in age from 21 to 86 and from all 50 states, are serving as Peace Corps Volunteers in 77 countries.
Currently, there are more Americans serving as Peace Corps Volunteers than any point in the last 40 years.  Our Volunteers are grassroots ambassadors for the United States, and they represent America's values, generosity, and hope.
